Pokémon TCG Valentine's Box Reportedly Coming in 2027

The Pokémon Company is reportedly launching its first Valentine's Day set on Jan 27, 2027. It's said to be similar to the Trick or Trade Halloween series, with mini packs and a foldable mailbox.
Did you ever wish you could hand out Pokémon cards instead of candy on Valentine's Day? Well, that might become a reality in 2027.
According to a recent report from Pokébeach, The Pokémon Company is planning to launch its first-ever dedicated Valentine's Day collection on January 27, 2027. The product, reportedly called the "Pokémon TCG Valentine's Box," hasn't been officially confirmed yet, but the leaks suggest it will follow in the footsteps of the popular Trick or Trade Halloween series rather than being a full expansion like Delta Reign or Chaos Rising.
So what exactly is in this box? If it's anything like the Halloween releases, expect compact foil packs containing three cards each, plus sticker sheets. The Halloween sets even had a pumpkin-stamped Pikachu, so a pink Pika stamp for Valentine's seems like a safe bet. The packaging and packs are apparently designed around giving cards to friends or handing them out in the classroom. Even better, the box itself is said to fold into a little cardboard mailbox, so you can distribute cards to classmates just like traditional Valentine's cards. That's a seriously cute idea.
But here's the thing: given how hot the Pokémon TCG market is right now, I'm not entirely convinced every box will end up in the hands of actual kids. Previous seasonal releases have mostly focused on reprinted cards rather than new full-art cards, yet sealed products have still held surprisingly strong secondary-market value. Take the Trick or Trade BOOster Bundle from 2025, for example. It contains 40 mini packs with three cards apiece, and currently has a market value of around $75.99 at TCGplayer. That makes the potential Valentine's release one to watch, especially if it turns out to be another limited seasonal product. Previous holiday releases have sold out well ahead of launch, so the real competition could come when preorders eventually open.
There's also no word yet on which Pokémon will take center stage in the mini set. My personal vote would be Enamorus, though Fairy-type Pokémon aren't currently part of the TCG's standard format... yet. I'd also love to see Sylveon—its pink color scheme and cute ribbons would be perfect, plus it evolves by friendship! Other options could be Audino and Blissey, since both are linked with care and kindness, qualities that suit Valentine's Day well. Or maybe we'll get a loveheart-themed Pikachu. Honestly, Sylveon seems like the most obvious choice: its pink colors and ribbons are practically made for Valentine's Day, and the friendship evolution angle feels particularly appropriate. Audino and Blissey would also fit the theme nicely given their associations with care and kindness, while a loveheart-themed Pikachu would hardly come as a surprise.
For now, this is all just a report, so take it with a grain of salt until The Pokémon Company makes an official announcement. But if it's true, you might want to start planning your preorder strategy now. Seasonal Pokémon products have a habit of disappearing fast.
What do you think? Would you pick up a Valentine's Box, or are you hoping for a different theme? Let us know in the comments!
