Witcher 3 Remastered Hotfix Fixes MOD Item Loss and Mount Bug on PC
CD Projekt RED rolled out a PC hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, fixing two player-reported issues: items vanishing when MODs are disabled and a display glitch with the Fiery Mare's blinder in New Game+.
CD Projekt RED has pushed a new hotfix for the PC version of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, and it's aimed squarely at two annoying bugs players have been reporting. If you've been running into either of these, you'll want to boot up your client and grab the update.
The first fix tackles a nasty MOD-related problem. Previously, if you disabled certain MODs, items and equipment could straight-up vanish from your save file, which is the kind of thing that can ruin a playthrough. After the update, that bug is squashed—your gear stays put where it belongs when you toggle MODs off.
The second fix is all about cosmetics for your trusty steed. Players had noticed that in New Game+, the Fiery Mare's blinder piece was displaying incorrectly. The dev team has patched up that visual glitch, so the mount's blinder now renders the way it should.
In the patch notes, CD Projekt RED also took a moment to thank the players who took the time to report these issues. Nothing beats a studio that actually listens, right?
As for console players, there's no word yet on whether the same hotfix will be heading to other platforms. For now, it's PC-only, so if you're on PS5 or Xbox Series X|S, keep an eye out for future announcements.
If you already own the PC version, just watch for the update prompt in your client and let it do its thing. Have you run into either of these bugs during your adventures? Let us know in the comments!
