CDPR Drops Surprise Witcher 3 Remaster Hotfix on PC
CDPR has rolled out a hotfix for The Witcher 3 remaster on PC, fixing disappearing items when mods are disabled and a bugged Blazing Mane blinders display in New Game+.
CDPR just quietly shipped a hotfix for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered on PC, and it's aimed squarely at two annoying bugs that have been bugging players.
According to the official patch notes, the update tackles two main issues. First up: items and equipment mysteriously vanishing after you disable certain mods. That one's been a real save-file scare for modders, and the fix should keep your inventory and gear intact.
Second, the team squashed a bug in New Game+ where the Blazing Mane blinders weren't displaying properly. Now the fiery horse gear should look exactly as intended instead of glitching out.
For a next-gen remaster of a beloved classic, it's good to see CDPR responding fast. These aren't massive changes, but they're the kind of pain points that can sour a PC playthrough, and getting them fixed quickly keeps the experience smooth.
If you've been holding off on a modded run or a New Game+ adventure, now's a solid time to jump back in. The hotfix is live on PC, so fire up your save and check that your gear is where it should be.
Have you run into either of these bugs yourself, or are you just glad to see CDPR staying on top of things? Let us know in the comments.
