Apex Legends Decipher Season Drops Nov 3: Intel Is Your Deadliest Weapon
Apex Legends' new season, Decipher, launches November 3 with a Crypto rework, dual-wield Wingman, high-risk Supply Stations, and a Legend ban system for Diamond+ ranked play.
Forget your aim for a second — in Apex Legends' next season, the deadliest weapon on the battlefield isn't a gun. It's intel. EA and Respawn just dropped the official gameplay trailer for Apex Legends: Decipher, and it's all about outsmarting your opponents before the first shot is even fired. The season goes live on November 3, and it's shaping up to be one of the most tactical updates yet.
Leading the charge is a full rework of Crypto. Thanks to a new firmware upgrade from his sister Mila, Crypto is stepping out from behind his drone and into a more active, aggressive intel-gathering role. His recon drone now runs on a battery system instead of a cooldown, so you can recall and redeploy it without the long wait. The drone also gets a brand-new Sentry Mode that automatically marks enemies in its line of sight — and his EMP ultimate can now be fired off with a single button press.
Then there's the new dual-wield Wingman. Yes, you read that right — akimbo revolvers. It fuses precision with raw firepower for double the damage, and it's every bit as dangerous as it sounds. If you like playing high-risk, high-reward, this one's calling your name.
The new Supply Stations are an evolution of the Supply Bin mechanic, bringing high-tier, high-stakes loot to the party in a big way. Raid Supply Stations can potentially kit out your entire squad with Supply Bin weapons, modded attachments, and EVO. But cracking one open takes time and triggers an alarm that reveals your exact location to every nearby player. The good news? Cover and hardlight spawn around the station to help you hold your ground and secure the goods.
A few Legends are getting some love too. Revenant is going full aggression with a shorter ultimate cooldown and faster tactical cast speed. New upgrade options let him extend his ultimate duration after each knockdown, silence nearby enemies upon landing from Shadow Raid, or automatically refresh Shadow Raid while enemies are marked. Lifeline, meanwhile, gets a shorter D.O.C. cooldown, self-healing while gliding, a faster ultimate cooldown, shields when reviving teammates, and improved flight mobility — all making it easier for her to take control of a fight.
Finally, ranked play is getting a shake-up. Matches in Diamond rank and above will introduce a new Legend ban mechanic, making every match's battlefield dynamic more unpredictable. Each player can vote to ban one Legend, and the more votes a Legend receives, the higher the chance they're banned for that match. Time to start strategizing before you even drop in.
Which change are you most hyped for — the Crypto rework, dual Wingmen, or the new ban system? Let us know!
