Tyr Update Adds New Map and Bigger Teams

Stoke Games' free-to-play hero tank shooter Tyr just got a new map and larger team sizes in its latest early access update.

Did you jump into Tyr when it hit free-to-play early access earlier this month? If so, there's a fresh update waiting for you.

Stoke Games' team vs. team hero tank shooter has rolled out its latest patch, and it brings a couple of big additions. We mean "big" literally here — the update increases team size, so matches should feel more chaotic and more crowded in the best way.

On top of that, there's a brand-new map to learn. New battlegrounds always shake up the meta, forcing you to rethink routes, cover, and where your tank hero fits into the fight. Whether you're a veteran of the early access launch or still figuring out your favorite chassis, the new map gives everyone something fresh to explore.

Tyr entered free-to-play early access at the top of this month, so the game is still in its early days. Updates like this one are a good sign that Stoke Games is actively building out the experience while players are already in the driver's seat.

If you've been on the fence about trying it, now's a solid time to hop in — bigger teams and a new map mean more variety right out of the gate. And if you're already playing, you've got new tactics to master.

What do you think of the new map and team size change? Will you be diving back into Tyr this week?
