Sony's Pulse Elevate Wireless Speaker Delayed Due to Production Issues

Sony has pushed back the launch of its first wireless speaker, the Pulse Elevate, after discovering production problems. No new release date has been announced yet.

Well, this is a bit of a bummer. Sony has just announced that its brand-new Pulse Elevate wireless speaker is being delayed. The reason? Production issues popped up during quality testing, so the company decided to hold off on launch to make sure the final product actually delivers the experience you'd expect.

If you've been saving up, you might recall the Pulse Elevate was originally slated to launch on November 12, 2026, with a price tag of 1,748 yuan in China. But now, Sony hasn't given us a new date yet—so we're all just waiting to see when it'll actually hit shelves.

The Pulse Elevate was first unveiled during a State of Play presentation and marks Sony's first-ever wireless speaker for gaming. It's part of the PlayStation audio accessory family, following in the footsteps of the Pulse Elite headset and Pulse Explore earbuds. It packs the same immersive gaming audio tech, including planar magnetic drivers and PlayStation Link, to bring you a fresh audio experience.

As Sony Interactive Entertainment's debut wireless speaker, the Pulse Elevate is designed to fit right into your PS5, PC, or Mac setup. You can also pair it with the PlayStation Portal streaming handheld or even your smartphone. Basically, it's meant to be flexible no matter how you play.

According to Sony, the Pulse Elevate promises highly realistic sound, ultra-low latency, and lossless wireless connectivity via PlayStation Link. So yeah, it sounds like it'll be worth the wait—whenever that wait ends.

We'll keep an eye out for any updates on a new release date. In the meantime, are you planning to grab one once it's available, or are you sticking with your current audio setup? Let us know!
