Real-Life Goku: French Game Store Manager Gets Gift from Dragon Ball Voice Actress

A French Micromania manager who defended his store during riots is dubbed 'French Goku' and will receive a figure and hand-drawn art from Dragon Ball's Japanese voice actress Masako Nozawa.

You've probably heard of heroes in games, but this one's straight out of real life. In Nice, France, a game store manager named Pierre stood his ground against rioters to protect his Micromania shop, and the internet has since crowned him the "French Goku."

The story blew up on social media, and people wanted to show their appreciation. A crowdfunding campaign for Pierre has now raised over €25,000 (about 206,000 RMB), with donors encouraging him to use the money to fulfill a dream: taking his wife to Japan. But here's the thing—Pierre had to clarify that some earlier crowdfunding pages were fake and set up without his knowledge. On October 19, he launched his official campaign through Double Pixels and announced it on his personal social media.

But the coolest part? Masako Nozawa, the 90-year-old Japanese voice actress behind Goku in Dragon Ball, is sending him a figure and a hand-drawn illustration. Nozawa has voiced Goku since the anime first aired, making her the iconic voice of the character.

Despite the damage to his store, Pierre remains steadfast in his support for students and young people. He emphasized that the actions of the rioters shouldn't overshadow the concerns that young people are expressing.

It's a heartwarming twist in a tough situation—a real-life hero getting recognized by the voice behind the legendary Saiyan. What do you think of Pierre's actions? Let us know in the comments!
