Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake Finally Adds New Game+ Next Week
Three months after launch, Ubisoft confirms New Game+ is coming to Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake next week, letting you replay the story with all your gear, abilities, and upgrades intact.
Three months after launch, Ubisoft is finally answering the calls fans have been making for months. Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake is getting a New Game+ mode, and it's arriving next week.
The confirmation came straight from the official Assassin's Creed Twitter account. "Thank you for your patience," the post reads. "New Game+ for Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag Remake arrives next week!" Short, sweet, and exactly what players have been waiting to hear.
So why is New Game+ such a big deal here? Simple: it lets you jump back into the story while keeping everything you've already earned. Unlocked gear, abilities, and upgrade progress all carry over, so you don't have to grind for resources from square one. Instead, you can focus on exploring, experimenting with combat builds, and catching all those story details you might have missed the first time around. In short, your second playthrough gets smoother and a whole lot more fun.
What we don't know yet is whether this update will bring anything else along with it. The New Game+ announcement is all Ubisoft has confirmed so far, and it's been a while since Black Flag Remake got any fresh content. Fingers crossed there's more in the pipeline, but for now, we'll take what we can get.
If you're planning to dive back in, the game is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. And if you want to keep up with everything Black Flag Remake related, keep an eye on the dedicated Assassin's Creed 4: Black Flag hub for more news as it drops.
Are you planning a second voyage through the Caribbean with all your upgrades intact? Let us know what you're most excited to revisit.
