Pippin Actor Billy Boyd Voices Character in New Musical Mystery Game

Billy Boyd, known for playing Pippin in Lord of the Rings, lends his voice to a character in the upcoming musical mystery game 'There Are No Ghosts at the Grand'.
Ever wondered what it would be like to restore a haunted hotel while solving musical mysteries? Well, a new game is making that a reality, and it's got a familiar face—or voice—from Middle-earth.
Billy Boyd, the actor who brought the lovable Peregrin 'Pippin' Took to life in Peter Jackson's Lord of the Rings trilogy, is stepping into the world of video games in a surprising way. As announced during Gamescom this week, Boyd will voice the character Robert C. MacBrushy in the upcoming game 'There Are No Ghosts at the Grand'.
If you haven't heard of it yet, 'There Are No Ghosts at the Grand' is a musical mystery game where you inherit a crumbling English hotel. By day, you're restoring it to its former glory. By night, you're dealing with the ghosts that haunt its halls. And here's the twist: every character you meet has a story told through song. From spooky ska to wartime jazz to skater punk, each melody is as unique as the ghost or guest it belongs to.
Boyd isn't just a talented actor—he's also a musician, fronting the band Beecake. So it's no surprise he's lending his vocal chops to this project. He's not the only star on the roster, either. Alex Brightman, known for his Tony-nominated roles in 'Beetlejuice' and 'School of Rock' on Broadway, is also featured in the game.
'There Are No Ghosts at the Grand' is set to release later this year, and if you're curious, there's already a free demo available on Steam. So you can get a taste of the spooky, musical fun before the full game drops.
