Kratos Actor: God of War Laufey Bridges Greek Era and 2018 Reboot

Christopher Judge says God of War Laufey will explain how Kratos changed from a cold Greek warrior into the caring father fans know, calling it a crucial missing link.

Kratos himself has spoken, and he thinks God of War Laufey is going to be a big deal.

Christopher Judge, the voice behind the Ghost of Sparta, recently opened up about the upcoming game and what it means for the series. According to him, Laufey will serve as the bridge connecting the classic Greek saga to God of War 2018.

If you've ever wondered how Kratos went from an angry, vengeance-fueled warrior to a dad who actually cares about people, Judge says this is the game that finally answers that question. Players will get to see the origin of his transformation - the why behind the shift from cold killer to a father with something to lose.

Judge pointed out that the previous games never really filled in that gap. In his words, they never gave a reason for why Kratos cares now. Laufey is expected to patch that hole in the story.

He's clearly excited about it too, saying he believes the game will be fantastic and hoping it changes the way fans see Kratos. That's a pretty bold claim from the guy who's been voicing him for years, so it's worth paying attention to.

For those planning ahead, God of War Laufey launches on February 16, 2027 for PS5. It's priced at HK$388 on the Hong Kong store, and pre-orders are already live.
