Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Hits $38.97 with Walmart Coupon

Walmart drops Tears of the Kingdom to $48.97, and a coupon code brings it down to $38.97—the lowest price yet for the 2023 GOTY.

Have you been holding off on playing The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom because of its price? Well, now might be the perfect time to dive in. Walmart has just dropped the price of this 2023 Game of the Year winner to $48.97, and with a special coupon code, you can snag it for just $38.97. That's a steal for one of the best Switch games ever made.

The deal works like this: Walmart is offering a 30% instant discount on the game, bringing it down to $48.97 with free shipping. But if you apply the coupon code "SAVE3X" at checkout, you'll get an extra $10 off, dropping the price to $38.97. That's Black Friday-level pricing, and according to IGN, it's working for a lot of people. Just a heads up—your mileage may vary, so it might not work for everyone.

The coupon code has a few conditions: it's valid on your first three online pickup or delivery orders, it's intended for new customers (though many returning customers have reported success), and there's a minimum order of $35. So if you're new to Walmart's online ordering or haven't used it in a while, you're in luck.

If you're wondering whether the game is worth it, the answer is a resounding yes. In IGN's 10/10 review, Tom Marks called Tears of the Kingdom "a remarkable sequel that somehow raises the bar." You once again step into the boots of Link as he explores a familiar Hyrule, now expanded with floating islands in the sky and a mysterious underground abyss. It's an open-world adventure that every Switch owner should experience.

And if you haven't played it yet, you've got time to beat it before the new Ocarina of Time remake launches later in November. Just note that this deal is for the original Switch edition. If you want the enhanced Switch 2 version, you can upgrade for $9.99.

Deals like this don't stick around forever, so if you've been waiting for a sign to pick up Tears of the Kingdom, this is it. Will you be grabbing this deal? Let us know in the comments!
