WRUP: A Tribute to Mr. Beepy, Plus What You're Playing This Weekend

This week's WRUP honors Beepalus Slimon, aka 'Mr. Beepy,' and asks readers about their weekend MMO plans and scary monsters in non-horror films.

Ever had a pet name that just stuck, no matter how silly? This week's WRUP is a tribute to Beepalus Slimon, also known as 'Mr. Beepy'—and yes, we were asked to do this edition.

So, what are you playing this weekend? That's the big question in our weekly open thread, where we talk about the MMOs we're diving into. Whether you're grinding levels, exploring new zones, or just hanging out with guildies, we want to hear it.

But that's not all. We've also got a bonus question: what scary monsters have shown up in non-horror films? Think about it—sometimes the creepiest creatures pop up in movies you'd never expect. From fantasy flicks to family films, there are plenty of beasties that gave us chills without being in a horror movie.

So join the conversation. Share your weekend gaming plans and your picks for unexpected cinematic scares. It's all part of our weekly open thread, where the community comes together to chat.

And hey, if you've got a soft spot for a pet with a goofy nickname like Mr. Beepy, you're in good company. This one's for Beepalus Slimon.

What are you playing this weekend? And what non-horror movie monster still haunts your dreams? Let us know in the comments!
