Windows 11 26H2 Rolls Out to Everyone, Even Windows 10 Users Can Jump In
Microsoft has confirmed Windows 11 26H2 is now available to all eligible devices, including Windows 10 machines in extended support. Here's how to grab it.
Microsoft just flipped the switch: Windows 11 26H2 is now rolling out to every eligible device, and yes, that includes Windows 10 PCs still hanging on in extended support. If you've been waiting for the green light, it's here.
The update first dropped back in late September, but Microsoft took its sweet time with a staged rollout to avoid any nasty surprises. After confirming that 25H2 and 24H2 devices were fully covered a few days ago, the company has now widened the net to all compatible hardware, Windows 10 extended support users included.
According to Microsoft's official status page, as of October 28, 2026, Windows 11 version 26H2 is available for all eligible devices. The new version bundles in every feature previously announced for 25H2 and 24H2, delivered via servicing technology for a speedy install experience.
So what's in it for you? Lower memory usage and a snappier PC overall. The gains are especially noticeable if you've used third-party debloating tools to strip out system bloat, according to the source.
If you've already toggled on the 'get the latest updates as soon as they're available' option but still haven't seen 26H2, the simplest fix is to manually download the eKB5121794 enablement package. This little package wakes up the dormant 26H2 features already sitting inside your 25H2 or 24H2 system, giving you an in-place upgrade.
One catch: this method only works if you're already on a specific version. It won't help if you're on an older Windows 11 build or trying to jump straight from Windows 10. For those cases, you'll need a different route.
Prefer a clean install? You can grab the latest KB5127648 ISO through Microsoft's official tools, or use a third-party option like Rufus if that's more your speed. Either way, you've got options.
Ready to make the jump to 26H2, or are you holding out on your current build? Let us know in the comments.
