Warhammer 3's New Update Makes Immortal Empires Essential

A veteran with 1007 hours in Total War: Warhammer 3 says the new Lords of the End Times DLC and update 9.0 transform Immortal Empires, especially with Nagash. The End Times crisis and post-apocalyptic race to resettle make the campaign the
Ever wondered what it's like to command Nagash, the Great Necromancer, in Total War: Warhammer 3? After 1007 hours, one player finally got to find out, and it's a wild ride. The new Lords of the End Times DLC and update 9.0 have reshaped Immortal Empires in a big way, making the mid and late game far more engaging.
Nagash's start is no cakewalk. He's boxed in by two greater daemons of Chaos, an angry French crusader, and Settra, who absolutely hates him. His nine books of power are scattered, his Mortarch lieutenants are independent, and you might lose your first tome in battle. But that struggle is part of the fun.
When Archaon kicks off the End Times, everything changes. Chaos invaders pour in, and Archaon himself is nearly invincible, gaining invulnerability from each Chaos army and fortress. A counter tracks how much of the world is destroyed, and razed settlements can't be recolonized until the crisis ends. It feels like a true apocalypse, and suddenly everyone—humans, dwarfs, elves, even Skaven—wants to ally with Nagash.
After a grueling fight, Archaon is defeated, and the race to resettle begins. Nagash can raise mausoleums and use the Ritual of the Dead to warp the landscape. New powers like Kislev rise, and your allies eventually remember you're evil and declare war. But by then, you're entrenched and free to hunt down Mortarchs and books.
Even without the paid factions, Immortal Empires feels fresh and tight. Nagash is a powerhouse in battle, but on the campaign map, he can only be in one place at a time. His tricky position balances his strength, making for a satisfying challenge.
The narrative and structure give the sandbox more definition, and seeing the post-apocalyptic world rebuild is a rush. The player is already planning another Nagash run and eyeing the other lords: Thanquol, Boris Todbringer, and The Glotkin. After 1007 hours, this is the most exciting Immortal Empires has ever been.
What do you think? Will you be picking up Lords of the End Times?
