Wardogs XP Grind: 13 Hours for One Medic Item?

A player's math reveals the brutal XP climb in Wardogs: reaching Medic level 24 for a coveted medical bag takes 13 more hours of playtime.
Ever felt like you're grinding forever in a game and getting nowhere? That's exactly what one Wardogs player discovered when they crunched the numbers on their Medic XP grind.
Our brave sawbones had a simple goal: unlock all Medic gear, including a medical bag that revives and heals teammates in one item. It's unlocked at Medic level 24. After 30 hours, they hit level 18, but progress suddenly slowed. They were ranking up every round or two, but now it takes a whole night just to climb one rank.
So they did the math. With 177,619 Medic XP at level 18, they realized level 24 requires 337,000 XP. That means they're only 52% of the way to the medical bag. Ouch.
To see how long the rest would take, they played a typical 50-minute match, focusing on revives and healing. They earned 9,995 Medic XP, 15 revives (2nd highest), and $62,215. At that rate, they'd need 16 more matches—about 13 hours—to unlock the bag.
For some, 13 hours might sound reasonable. But for this player, who only plays 2-3 hours on gaming nights, it's disheartening. They've been going hard for two weeks and are still at least a week away from that one item.
Is this the grind Bulkhead intended? The Wardogs community is split. Some think XP milestones increase too quickly, others blame seasonal wipes, and some believe the massive grind keeps the game interesting. It's a balancing act: making items easier to unlock affects how quickly powerful gear appears in matches, flattening meta progression.
Bulkhead is listening, but no specific changes yet. Season 2 starts October 15 and will wipe everyone back to level 1. Back to the base of the mountain. What do you think—is this grind too much, or just right?
