Uncharted: Nolan North Says He's '110%' Ready to Return as Nathan Drake

Nathan Drake's voice actor Nolan North says he'd return to Uncharted '110%,' but he hasn't heard of any new project yet — and fans are split on what a comeback should look like.
If Uncharted ever comes back, Nathan Drake's voice is ready. Nolan North says he'd return to the role "110%" — no hesitation, no hedging.
The actor was asked at the Gamergy event in Puerto Rico whether he'd play Nathan Drake again in a future Uncharted game. His answer was immediate: "110%, of course." He added that he stays in shape "just in case," and that he can't really picture himself turning down Drake a second time.
But before you start planning a reunion tour, here's the cold water: North also made clear he hasn't heard about any new Uncharted project, and he doesn't know if Sony would even call him back. His comments were about his own willingness — not proof that a game is in development.
So why is everyone talking about it? Because the rumor mill has been running hot. Previous reports suggested Naughty Dog might be working on a brand-new Uncharted, with The Lost Legacy director Shaun Escayg reportedly attached, and Nathan Drake possibly returning in some form. None of that has been confirmed by Sony or Naughty Dog.
The player base is split, as you'd expect. Some read North's quote and went straight to "shut up and take my money" — if the core team is still around, even a comeback years later sounds worth the wait. Others are worried Sony might turn the series into a live-service game, joking that the pitch is basically "a service-based Uncharted."
There's also the question of who should carry the torch. Some fans don't want Drake's daughter Cassie forced into the lead, while others would rather see Sully, Sam or Chloe get their own adventures.
North has one condition of his own: any new game has to live up to the Uncharted name. He doesn't want a sequel just for the sake of making one, and he pointed to Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull as a cautionary tale — a mediocre entry can drag down a whole franchise's reputation.
So if Uncharted really does return, what do you want? Nolan North back as Nathan Drake, or a fresh lead kicking off the next chapter? Sound off below.
