This $9 Steam Gem Is a Post-Apocalyptic Spider-Robot Adventure

Radiosol, a $9 Steam game, has players hooked as a wall-climbing spider-robot in a desolate world. Its unique style and AI disclosure have sparked interest.
Ever stumbled upon a game so intriguing that you immediately hit the buy button? That's exactly what happened when I shared my first 30 minutes with Radiosol in PC Gamer's work chat—and multiple colleagues bought it on the spot.
Radiosol is described by its developers as "a journey through a desolate world burned by a planetary cataclysm." It's only $9 on Steam, and its jaggy megastructures look exceptionally cool. You play as a little wall-climbing spider-robot navigating the deserted ruins of megastructures, leaping between shadows to avoid direct sunlight. Multiple subjects broadcast information to you as you make your way toward a pyramid for some kind of final battle.
So far, there's no combat—just the joy of being a spider-dude executing big hops in a low-G environment. It feels like you're not quite on Earth. Currently, I'm seeking a "Megapol station" in the territory of the "Locus Group of Companies." The game throws a lot of proper nouns at you without context, so be prepared for that.
As is habitual these days, I checked the generative AI disclosure on Steam. The Moscow-based developer, TripletConcept, says AI was used for translations, but not to generate any audio or art. On X, they also stated they used AI for "some coding and utility stuff like handling Git merges." The artist has been making art in this style since before the 2020s, as evidenced by their ArtStation profile.
I'm not far into Radiosol yet, so this is just my first impression, not a review. But so far, it's pretty sick. If you decide to check it out, my suggestions are: A) prepare to have a lot of proper nouns thrown at you without context, and B) commit the important parts of the menu layouts to memory, in case you can't help yourself from hitting the red button that turns off thinking.
Will you be picking up Radiosol? Let us know in the comments!
