The Witcher 3 Remastered With DLSS 5 Looks Stunningly Real in New Comparison

A YouTuber forced an unreleased DLSS 5 build into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered, and the character face comparison against the original is seriously impressive.
You know that feeling when a game's characters suddenly look like actual people instead of slightly waxy mannequins? That's exactly what's happening in a new comparison video for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered running DLSS 5.
Posted by YouTube creator ipablos, the clip puts the remaster's original visuals side by side with the same scenes powered by DLSS 5, zooming in on the faces of Geralt, Yennefer, Keira, Vesemir, and Ciri. The difference is hard to miss.
With DLSS 5 switched on, facial details pop way more. Skin texture looks richer, facial contours read more clearly, and the whole thing edges closer to what you'd expect from a real human face rather than a rendered one. It's the kind of upgrade that makes you do a double take.
For the test, ipablos used an AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D paired with a GeForce RTX 5070 Ti. That's a beefy setup, sure, but it shows what this leaked tech can do when it's pushed through hardware that can handle it.
Here's the big caveat, though: DLSS 5 isn't officially supported in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Remastered right now. This is a leaked build that the player force-enabled themselves. So take it as an interesting peek at what might come, not a promise of what's coming.
In other words, don't rush to tweak your settings expecting the same result. Official support, if it ever lands, could look different. The video is a fun experiment, not a finished product.
The game itself is available on PC, PS5, Nintendo Switch 2, and Xbox Series X|S, so plenty of you can already jump back into the Continent. Whether DLSS 5 eventually makes its way to the remaster officially is anyone's guess.
Would you replay The Witcher 3 just for a face-lift like this, or are you happy with how it looks now? Let us know in the comments.
