TFT Set 18 Adaptor Master Yi Comp Guide: Level 7 Reroll

Adaptor Master Yi is a Level 7 reroll composition that uses Master Yi as the primary carry and builds around Kog'Maw, Nidalee, Vi, Sett, Krug, Gromp, and Yorick. It is a more demanding line than the easiest starter comps, but it can be powerful when the correct copies and items appear.

## Main board

Master Yi is the unit you want to upgrade and itemize first. Kog'Maw and Nidalee add supporting damage, while Vi, Sett, Krug, Gromp, and Yorick provide the structure around the carry. Check the current trait tooltips because breakpoints and unit values can change between patches.

## Item direction

Use your first components on a coherent carry package for Master Yi: attack-speed, damage, and survivability are generally more useful than holding every component for a single perfect recipe. Build a functional front line for Vi and Sett with leftover defensive pieces. The correct items are less important than matching the board's actual damage pattern and the current patch data.

## Level 7 plan

Stabilize at Level 7, then reroll while preserving enough economy to avoid collapsing. Do not push Level 8 too early if the comp still needs its key upgrades. Once Master Yi and the front line are stable, level up to add utility or a high-value late unit.

## When to play it

Look for Master Yi copies early, a compatible item opener, and a lobby that is not already contesting the same carry. If you miss the upgrades while losing health, pivot into a more conventional late-game board rather than spending all your gold on a board that never reaches its power spike.

## Positioning

Keep Master Yi away from direct enemy access and use Vi/Sett to control the first contact. Move the carry against the opponent's weakest side when scouting. If the lobby has divers or hooks, avoid placing Master Yi on an obvious corner.

Adaptor Master Yi is a good example of why the Set 18 meta is not only about one universal comp. The line is strongest when your opening, items, and shop all point in the same direction.
