Steam's Most Wishlisted Games: What's New?

Catch up on the latest updates for Steam's top 20 most-wishlisted games, from new heroes to release date shifts and more.
Ever wonder what's happening with the games you and everyone else can't wait to play? Steam's most-wishlisted list is always shifting, and we've got the latest scoop on all 20 titles. From surprise updates to long silences, here's what you need to know.
Starting with the top 5, one game got a "massive visual update" and "six new heroes" on October 2, complete with detailed patch notes. Another saw a mention from Sean Murray in a No Man's Sky video on September 9—could that be a hint? Meanwhile, a developer posted a lengthy Q&A on October 2, but pricing and release date remain under wraps. It's still on track for February, and some lore dropped on September 21. Another title hasn't seen news since a July dev update, but now it's covered.
Moving to wishlists 6-10, one game hasn't had news since preorders opened over the summer, but it's still set for an October 28 launch. Another might have slipped under your radar: a closed beta came and went last month, and there's still no release date, but you can watch a September gameplay deep dive and sign up for a playtest on Steam. Dragon's Dogma 2 DLC drops on October 8, which means this list will shuffle again soon—thanks, Capcom. And one game announced in June has been silent since, due out in 2027. Maybe we'll hear more at The Game Awards?
For wishlists 11-20, one dev said in September they're "working through some fantastic feedback" from a final internal playtest, but the 2026 release window still lacks a specific month. Another's last dev diary was in August about music, and it's still targeting an unspecific 2027 release. Who knows? We got a bit out of Studio Wildcard about this oft-delayed sequel back in March. If you're in the Soulframe pre-alpha, things are bustling with regular patches, the most recent in September. A bodycam shooter studio announced hiring for a game designer and 3D character artist in late September, but no release date or year yet. Another game got a new trailer in August, a release date in September, and seems on track for February 2027. Our own Mollie played it at Gamescom last month and got "those same giddy feelings that I felt the first time I booted up Persona 4 Golden on my PS Vita." There's also a recent broadcast. A new cinematic trailer appeared just a couple of days ago, and devblogs about various modes are almost weekly on Steam. We also learned there's a chain weapon in this DLC to fight an enemy called "Swarmions." Who needs news? This great-looking co-op driving indie is coming out in less than two weeks! The dev streams weekly on Twitch.
So there you have it—the latest on Steam's most anticipated games. Some are gearing up for launch, others are still in the shadows. Which one are you most excited for? Let us know in the comments!
