Spider-Man 4 Hits PS Plus Premium Free on October 6

Tom Holland's Spider-Man: Brand New Day arrives on Sony Pictures Core October 6, free for PS Plus Premium members, complete with six themed PSN avatars.

Get ready, web-heads — Sony just confirmed that Tom Holland's latest Marvel outing, Spider-Man: Brand New Day, is swinging onto Sony Pictures Core on October 6. And if you're a PS Plus Premium member, you won't pay a cent to watch it.

Here's the deal: Premium subscribers can stream the film directly on their PS5 at no extra cost. That's right — no rental fee, no separate purchase. Just fire up your console, kick back, and let Holland do his thing.

But wait, there's more. Alongside the movie, you'll also unlock six matching PlayStation character avatars. Think of it as a little bonus swag for your profile. Just don't sleep on them — the avatar redemption window stays open until October 6, 2027, so you've got time, but why wait?

One catch worth flagging: Sony Pictures Core hasn't launched on the Hong Kong PlayStation Store yet. So if you're in that region and want in on this perk, you'll need to use a membership tied to a region where the service is live — think US or Japan accounts.

It's a pretty sweet setup for Premium members, especially if you've been holding off on seeing the film. Free movie plus profile goodies? That's a solid win in our book.

So mark your calendars for October 6. Whether you're a die-hard Spidey fan or just love a good freebie, this one's worth checking out.
