PS Plus Trick: One Month, Three Months of Free Games

A clever timing trick lets you snag three months' worth of PS Plus monthly games with just a single month's subscription. Here's how it works.

Want to squeeze extra value out of your PS Plus subscription? There's a timing trick floating around that lets you grab three months of free games while only paying for one. Sounds too good to be true? Let's break it down.

First, a quick refresher. PS Plus comes in three tiers: Essential, Extra, and Premium. Essential is the base level, and it's where the monthly free games live. You get 2-3 games every month, and as long as you stay subscribed, they're yours to keep playing. You also get online multiplayer, member discounts, 100GB of cloud storage, and Share Play. The higher tiers include all Essential perks, but you still have to manually claim those monthly games.

Now here's the trick. If you subscribe to PS Plus Essential for one month on October 5, your membership runs until November 5. During that window, you can claim the September games (before they expire), the October games, and the November games. That's three months of freebies for the price of one.

Alternatively, start your one-month subscription on November 2. Your membership lasts until December 2. In that period, you can grab the October games (still available until November 4), the November games, and the December games. Again, one month of payment nets you three months of games.

The two dates give you different three-month combos, so you can pick whichever set of games you want most. It's not against any rules—you're just taking advantage of how the claim windows overlap with your subscription period. Just remember: you have to manually claim each month's games. Once your subscription expires, the games get locked until you resubscribe.

So, which combo are you going for? Let us know in the comments!
