PS Plus October 2026 Free Games: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, EDF: World Brothers 2

PlayStation Plus members can claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2 starting October 6. Plus, horror-themed bundles roll out for Halloween.

What's better than free games? Three free games! PlayStation has just announced the PlayStation Plus lineup for October 2026, and it's a mixed bag of racing, extraction shooting, and giant blocky aliens. Starting October 6, all PS Plus members can claim F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. You'll have until November 2 to add them to your library.

First up, F1 25. If you're a racing fan, you know the drill: Codemasters' annual Formula One game is back with all the official teams and drivers from the 2025 F1 season. The career mode is as robust as ever, and My Team 2.0 lets you run your own squad in single-player. There's also F1 World, a multiplayer mode where you go up against a squad of AI drivers. Whether you're a seasoned sim racer or a casual fan, F1 25 should scratch that high-speed itch.

Next, Hunt: Showdown 1896. This one's not for the faint of heart. It's an unforgiving extraction shooter where you track down bloodthirsty monsters in deadly swamps. But here's the twist: you're not just racing against the clock—you're also competing with fellow hunters. Every tool at your disposal matters as you fight to survive and escape with your bounty. If you like your shooters tense and atmospheric, this is a must-claim.

Finally, Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. The planet is under attack again, this time by gigantic, blocky enemies. It's a crossover featuring heroes from across the EDF franchise, so you'll assemble a team to take down new threats and save the day. It's over-the-top, chaotic fun, and it's playable on both PS5 and PS4.

Oh, and don't forget: if you haven't claimed September's PlayStation Plus free games yet, you need to do that before next Tuesday. Once they're gone, they're gone.

But wait, there's more! With Halloween a few weeks away, PlayStation Plus subscribers can also claim free horror-themed in-game item bundles for games like Call of Duty: Warzone and Overwatch. These will roll out throughout the month, so keep an eye on the store.

So, which of these three games are you most excited to play? Are you jumping into the driver's seat, hunting monsters, or blasting blocky aliens? Let us know in the comments!
