Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown Free Trial Hits Switch Online

Nintendo Switch Online members can play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown for free from September 24-30, 2026, and grab it at 70% off. IGN's checklists are also free during that window.

Got a Nintendo Switch Online membership? Then you're in for a treat. From September 24th to September 30th, 2026, you can download and play Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown completely free as part of Nintendo's Game Trial program. That's a full week to dive into one of the best metroidvanias out there.

And if you decide you want to keep the adventure going after the trial ends, you're in luck. During the same period, the game is available at a whopping 70% discount on the Nintendo eShop. PC players aren't left out either – you can snag the same 70% off deal on Steam until October 1st.

But wait, there's more. If you're the type of player who hates missing collectibles (and let's be honest, who isn't?), IGN has your back. From September 24th to September 30th, 2026, IGN is making their interactive map and checklists for Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown completely free to use. That means unlimited checkmarks and map markers – normally a perk of IGN Plus – are available to everyone during the trial window.

Why does that matter? The Lost Crown is a massive game with tons of hidden walls, tricky platforming sections, and collectibles tucked away in every corner. Without a guide, you might find yourself backtracking for hours. IGN's walkthrough is built for 100% completion, with detailed screenshots and map markers that sync with their checklists. Check off a collectible on the map, and it automatically updates in your guide. No more wondering, "Did I already grab that?"

They've got specific guides for all amulet locations, sand jars, treasure chests, and more. So whether you're a completionist or just want to avoid getting lost, these tools are a lifesaver. And they're free only during the trial period, so take advantage while you can.

So, will you be jumping into Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown during the free trial? Or are you already planning to grab it at that 70% discount? Let us know in the comments!
