PlayStation Stars Shuts Down November 2, 2026 - Spend Your Points Now

Sony has confirmed its PlayStation Stars loyalty program will permanently close on November 2, 2026. Points will be wiped after that date, though digital collectibles stay in your account.
Pour one out for PlayStation Stars. Sony has officially confirmed that its loyalty rewards program is closing its doors for good on November 2, 2026, so if you've been sitting on a pile of points, now's the time to cash them in.
Launched back in 2022, PlayStation Stars let you rack up points just by doing what you already love: buying games, knocking out challenges, and playing regularly. Those points could be traded for PSN wallet credit, digital games, and digital collectibles. After roughly four years of service, that ride is coming to an end.
The timeline works like this: you can still log in and redeem whatever rewards you've got left, but once November 2, 2026 rolls around, any unused points are gone for good. No refunds, no recovery. The program actually stopped accepting new members way back in May 2025, though existing members have been able to keep burning through their points inside the PlayStation mobile app.
Here's a bit of good news, though. Any digital collectibles you snagged through PlayStation Stars will stay in your account permanently. They won't vanish when the program shuts down, so your little trophy shelf lives on.
What comes next is still up in the air. Sony hasn't announced a replacement rewards program, and it's unclear if one is even in the works. Back in September, some sharp-eyed players noticed a PSN wallet cashback mechanic pop up, offering rewards for buying digital titles like The Blood of Dawnwalker and Star Wars: Zero Company. But that promotion wrapped up at the end of September, and whether it'll become a regular thing is anyone's guess.
It's a bit of a bummer for the PlayStation ecosystem, especially as Sony keeps pushing deeper into digital distribution. Losing a rewards program that directly encouraged store spending isn't exactly a win for players. That said, October 2026 is stacked with new PS5 releases, so there's still plenty to look forward to on the horizon.
