Pixel Washer Hits PC Early Access This October

Retro power washing sim Pixel Washer launches in Early Access on Steam October 15, with Switch 2 and Switch versions following in 2027.

Ever looked at a grimy old-school game world and thought, "someone really needs to hose that down"? Well, you're about to get your wish. Pixel Washer, a retro-inspired power washing simulator, is heading to Early Access for PC via Steam on October 15.

If you've sunk hours into power washing games before, you know the drill: point, spray, and watch the dirt melt away. Pixel Washer wraps that satisfying loop in a pixel-art aesthetic, leaning hard into nostalgia while keeping the core cleaning gameplay fans already love.

The PC crowd gets first crack at it. Launching in Early Access means the game will arrive in a work-in-progress state, with the developers planning to build it out alongside player feedback. That's the whole point of Early Access, after all, and it gives you a chance to shape where Pixel Washer goes next.

Console players, you're not forgotten, but you will need to be patient. The Switch 2 and Switch versions aren't expected until 2027. That's a pretty long wait, so if you've got a gaming PC handy, the Steam Early Access route is easily the fastest way to start scrubbing.

So why the staggered rollout? Early Access on PC is a common first step for indie projects, letting studios test, tweak, and iterate before committing to a full console launch. For a smaller retro-flavored title like this, it's a smart way to build a community early and make sure the final product lands in good shape.

For now, the takeaway is simple: mark October 15 on your calendar if you're a PC player, and pencil in 2027 if you're waiting on Nintendo hardware. Either way, Pixel Washer is bringing its sudsy, pixelated charm to a screen near you.
