Phantom Blade Zero Gets DLSS 4.5 and Path Tracing at Launch
Nvidia's new Game Ready 621.01 driver brings DLSS 4.5 dynamic multi-frame generation and path tracing support to Phantom Blade Zero on day one, plus fixes for Wuthering Waves and Cyberpunk 2077 prep.
Phantom Blade Zero is almost here, and Nvidia is making sure your RTX card is ready for it. The company just rolled out the GeForce Game Ready 621.01 WHQL driver, which delivers day-one support for the highly anticipated wuxia action game.
According to Nvidia, the PC version of Phantom Blade Zero will support DLSS 4.5 dynamic multi-frame generation and path tracing effects. That means higher frame rates on GeForce RTX GPUs, plus DLSS Ray Reconstruction to clean up the lighting and visual quality that path tracing brings. Previously announced tech includes ray-traced reflections, shadows, and caustics, which should make metal weapons and environmental lighting pop like never before.
Developed by S-GAME, Phantom Blade Zero blends Chinese wuxia culture with punk fantasy and dark aesthetics. You play as Soul, a swordsman with only 66 days left to live, hunted by various factions as he uncovers a conspiracy within the martial world. The game packs over 30 main weapons and more than 20 unique Phantom Blades, letting you mix and match freely while mastering combos, parries, and counters in fast-paced combat.
The 621.01 driver isn't just about Phantom Blade Zero, though. It also adds support for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 and preps for the DLSS 4.5 update in Cyberpunk 2077. On top of that, it fixes a crash in Wuthering Waves that could occur when DLSS frame generation and Nvidia Freestyle filters were enabled together, along with some other game and monitor issues.
Phantom Blade Zero launches on October 29 for PC and PS5. If you're running a GeForce RTX GPU, you can grab the new driver through the Nvidia App or the official website to get everything ready before release day.
