NVIDIA RTX Spark Laptops Are Here: A New Era for Windows PCs

NVIDIA's RTX Spark laptops have officially launched with up to 128GB unified memory and 1 Petaflop of AI performance, bringing local AI agents and serious gaming to slim Windows machines.
NVIDIA just flipped the switch on something it's calling a whole new category of Windows PC. The RTX Spark laptop line is officially available today, with first models coming from ASUS, Dell, Lenovo, Microsoft, and MSI — and more on the way.
So what exactly is RTX Spark? It's a superchip that packs an NVIDIA Blackwell RTX GPU and an NVIDIA Grace CPU onto a single piece of silicon, paired with up to 128GB of unified memory and up to 1 Petaflop of FP4 AI performance. MediaTek co-designed the custom CPU to help hit best-in-class efficiency, performance, and connectivity. The pitch: a slim, premium Windows machine that can run frontier AI models locally, render 3D scenes over 90GB in size, and play AAA games at 1440p above 100 FPS.
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang didn't hold back: "RTX Spark brings the power of NVIDIA AI, RTX graphics, and CUDA together with Microsoft Windows in one PC, letting users create, game, and run personal AI agents." Microsoft's Yusuf Mehdi added that Windows is becoming a hybrid intelligence platform, with RTX Spark unlocking serious local compute for creators and developers.
Compared to the most common Windows SoCs out there, NVIDIA claims RTX Spark delivers up to 9x the gaming performance, up to 11x faster AI image generation, and can run agents with up to 125 billion parameters. That's a lot of horsepower in something you can toss in a backpack.
The local AI angle is a big part of the story. Guided setup and easy installers get you running agents like GitHub Copilot, Hermes, OpenClaw, Perplexity, Pi, and WorkBuddy without touching a command line. Nous Research CEO Dillon Rolnick said bringing Hermes to RTX Spark lets users run open AI models and agents locally on a Windows laptop, keeping control of their data. NVIDIA is also throwing in its own Nemotron 3.5 Bolt 74B-A9B 24GB model for tool-calling and multi-step tasks, plus OpenShell Secure Runtime and Microsoft Execution Containers for managing agent permissions.
Creators aren't left out either. Adobe is bringing NVIDIA TensorRT acceleration to Photoshop, Premiere, and Substance 3D, with Photoshop and Premiere betas arriving alongside launch. You can edit 8K 4:2:2 video and render massive 3D scenes even unplugged. NVIDIA Broadcast 2.3 adds background noise removal for existing recordings, and a new RTX Video node in ComfyUI can bump AI-generated video from 15 FPS to a smooth 60 FPS in HDR — no per-use cloud fees.
For developers, RTX Spark consolidates coding, testing, and prototyping into one device. Native CUDA support means you can run models and agents locally, keep code and context on-device, then deploy to over 150 million NVIDIA RTX AI PCs or cloud GPUs. NVIDIA and Microsoft have also prepped dev tools including the first PyTorch-CUDA build for Windows on Arm and a native Python build.
With RTX Spark, NVIDIA is betting that your next laptop won't just be a tool — it'll be a collaborator. Are you ready to let an AI agent handle the busywork while you game? Let us know what you'd use all that local AI power for.
