MW4 Beta Extended 12 Hours With Double XP - Here's What You Can Still Unlock

The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 open beta has been extended by 12 hours with double XP to help you reach level 30 and grab that special blueprint.
Did you spend your weekend grinding through the Modern Warfare 4 beta, only to realize you're still a few levels shy of that sweet weapon blueprint? Well, you're in luck. Activision just dropped a surprise extension on the open beta, giving you 12 more hours to level up—and they're doubling your XP to make it even easier.
The beta was originally set to end today, September 1, at 10 AM PT / 1 PM ET. But now, it's been pushed back to 10 PM PT / 1 AM ET (September 2), giving you a full half-day extra. And to sweeten the deal, double progression XP and double weapon XP are now active until the server shuts down. So if you've been eyeing that level 30 cap, this is your chance to finally snag the exclusive weapon blueprint waiting at the top.
Of course, not everyone can drop everything and jump back in. If you're stuck at work, school, or just trying to squeeze in some sleep, you might not have the full 12 hours. But even a couple of hours with double XP can make a big difference, so it's worth hopping on if you can.
Once the beta wraps up, the next time you'll get to dive into MW4's multiplayer is when the game officially launches on October 23. But if you're eager to experience the story, preordering gets you access to the single-player campaign a week early, on October 16. That's a nice little bonus for those who can't wait.
This year's Call of Duty is a big deal for a few reasons. It's coming to PS5, Xbox Series X|S, Switch 2, and PC—and notably, it's the first time the series has landed on a Nintendo platform since 2013's Call of Duty: Ghosts. Plus, it's skipping last-gen consoles entirely, another first since Ghosts. So if you're still on an older system, it might be time to upgrade.
And with GTA 6 arriving on November 19, MW4 has a solid head start—34 days to be exact—to grab your attention before the gaming world goes completely nuts. So, will you be using those extra 12 hours to grind for the blueprint, or are you already satisfied with your progress? Let us know in the comments!
