Marvel's Wolverine Drops New Screenshots Ahead of September 15 Launch

Insomniac Games shared fresh Marvel's Wolverine screenshots showing combat, characters and environments before the PS5 exclusive arrives September 15. Reviews are mixed, with a 78 Metacritic average and IGN's 6.
Insomniac Games just gave us another peek at Marvel's Wolverine, and the claws are looking sharp.
The studio dropped a batch of new screenshots on social media, showing off combat scenes, character designs and bits of the game's environments. It's a nice little taste of the overall visual style before the game lands on PS5 on September 15 as a PlayStation exclusive.
If you've been following the hype, you already know the review embargo lifted recently, and the scores are... a mixed bag. The game currently sits at a 78 average on Metacritic, while IGN gave it a 6.
Some outlets praised the combat for being brutal and satisfying, and the story and presentation got plenty of love too. Sounds like Insomniac nailed the feel of popping claws and going wild, which is exactly what Wolverine fans want.
But not everyone was thrilled. Other critics felt the game doesn't quite hit the gameplay depth or level design heights we've come to expect from Insomniac. That's a bit of a surprise given the studio's track record with Marvel's Spider-Man.
Still, the new screenshots show a game with plenty of atmosphere. Whether you're here for the violence, the story, or just to see Logan's latest look, there's something to catch your eye.
Marvel's Wolverine launches September 15 on PS5. With scores landing in the middle, are you still planning to pick it up day one, or are you waiting for more impressions? Let us know what you think.
