Marked for Mayhem: Co-op RPG Where Your Teammates Are Also Rivals

Bladework Games' Marked for Mayhem is a multiplayer RPG where you and your squad fight through dungeons together โ but compete for the most points on the leaderboard.
Ever been in a co-op run where your teammate "accidentally" grabs the last hit on the boss? Marked for Mayhem takes that feeling and builds an entire game around it.
This one comes from indie studio Bladework Games, and it's a multiplayer action RPG with a twist: you and your team are working together to survive a dungeon, but you're also competing to rack up the most points and climb a leaderboard. In other words, the mission is shared โ the glory isn't.
That design choice flips the usual co-op formula on its head. Instead of pure teamwork, you're constantly weighing whether to help the squad or hog the spotlight. Do you save your buddy from a swarm of foes, or do you let them struggle while you farm points? Every fight becomes a little negotiation, and every dungeon run turns into a friendly (or not-so-friendly) rivalry.
Bladework Games is positioning Marked for Mayhem as a game where cooperation and competition collide. You still need your team to get through the dungeon, so you can't just go full lone wolf โ but you also can't afford to be too generous if you want to top the leaderboard. It's a balancing act that sounds like it could lead to some seriously chaotic moments with friends.
The indie studio hasn't shared a release date or platform details yet, so for now we're keeping an eye on how this one develops. But the core hook is already clear: a multiplayer RPG that turns your own squad into both allies and rivals.
If you've ever wanted a co-op game that rewards a little friendly betrayal, this might be one to watch. What do you think โ would you play nice, or would you chase the leaderboard at any cost?
