LoL Worlds 2026 Schedule Revealed: Opens October 16

Riot has unveiled the full schedule for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, kicking off October 16 in the US with the Grand Final set for November 15.
Get your calendars out, because the road to the Summoner's Cup now has dates. The official League of Legends esports account dropped the full schedule for the 2026 World Championship, and it all kicks off at 2:00 AM Beijing time on October 16.
That's right, the opening day means a late night (or an early morning) for fans in China, who'll either be pulling an all-nighter or catching the replays the next day. The tournament runs for roughly a month, from the first Play-In match all the way to the Grand Final on November 15.
This year marks the 16th edition of Worlds, League of Legends' biggest annual international showdown. Top teams from six major regions, including the LPL, LCK, LEC, and LCS, are heading to the United States to battle for the trophy.
Here's how the schedule breaks down. The Play-In Stage runs from October 16 to October 19. Then comes the Swiss Stage, which takes place from October 24 to November 1. The Quarterfinals follow from November 4 to November 7, with the Semifinals squeezed into two days on November 8 and 9. Finally, the Grand Final lands on November 15, where the next world champion will be crowned.
The format builds layer by layer, from Play-Ins to Swiss to the knockout bracket, with the final four emerging after the Semifinals. The theme for this year's event is "Clouds Gather Across the Four Seas, Winds Rise Today" — a poetic nod to the global gathering of talent converging on one stage.
So who's going to lift the Summoner's Cup this time? Will your favorite team make the run, or will we see a new dynasty rise? Only the Rift will tell.
Mark your calendars, set your alarms (or your DVR), and get ready — Worlds 2026 is almost here. Who are you rooting for to take it all?
