Jin Sakai Returns in Ghost of Yotei's New Roguelike Mode

Sucker Punch reveals Most Wanted, a roguelike survival mode for Ghost of Yotei featuring Jin Sakai and more, launching October 1.
Remember when you first stepped into the shoes of Jin Sakai, the Ghost of Tsushima? Well, get ready to feel that thrill again, because he's making a comeback in a big way. During the latest PlayStation State of Play, Sucker Punch dropped a bombshell: Jin is returning as a playable character in Ghost of Yotei's upcoming roguelike mode, Most Wanted.
So, what's the deal with Most Wanted? It's a combat survival mode that throws you into a gauntlet where you'll face off against the Yotei Six, a group of deadly foes. You'll get to choose from four playable samurai, each with their own unique weapons and abilities. Alongside Atsu, Oyuki, and Nagato, you'll have the option to pick Jin Sakai himself. The goal? Hunt down each of the Yotei Six, and if you manage to defeat them, you'll earn coins that can be used to upgrade your samurai for future runs. It's a classic roguelike loop that promises to keep you coming back for more.
But the real meat of the mode lies in its Perks system. As you progress through a run, you'll frequently pick between new perks that can dramatically alter your playstyle. Think weapon mastery, gear loadouts, summons, parries, survivability, and more. The idea is to craft the perfect build by mixing and matching perks, leading to some exciting surprises along the way. It's all about finding that synergy that makes you feel unstoppable—or discovering a combo you never expected to work.
Now, for longtime fans, Jin's inclusion is a huge deal. It's the first time he's been playable since his starring role in 2020's Ghost of Tsushima. Sucker Punch made sure to honor his legacy by keeping his Ghost of Tsushima model faithful while also giving him upgrades that fit the world of Ghost of Yotei. He'll have access to all four of his fighting stances from the original game, plus his trusty sticky bombs, the devastating Dance of Wrath, and his iconic Ghost stance. So, if you loved playing as the Ghost, you're in for a treat.
When can you get your hands on this? The Most Wanted mode, along with the Echoes of Sekigahara expansion, drops on October 1. If you already own Ghost of Yotei, you can grab the Complete Edition upgrade to get all the extra content. If you're new to the game, you can snag the Ghost of Yotei: Complete Edition, which bundles everything together in one package. So, whether you're a veteran or a newcomer, there's a way for you to dive in.
