Hogwarts Legacy Hits 300 FPS at 4K With DLSS 5 on RTX 5090
Nvidia's DLSS 5 rolls out to Hogwarts Legacy on November 5, and internal tests show the RTX 5090 pushing up to 300 FPS at 4K with ray tracing enabled.
Two months after Nvidia launched DLSS 5 on September 3 with its debut in NBA 2K27, the tech is about to spread to a whole lot more games. And this week's lineup includes one a lot of you have been waiting for.
Hogwarts Legacy is getting DLSS 5 support on November 5, joining War Thunder and Where Winds Meet as the three titles added to the roster this month. If you've been holding off on a replay of your wizarding adventure, this might be the excuse you needed.
With 3D-Guided Neural Rendering joining the party, Hogwarts Legacy gets the full DLSS suite from Nvidia. The game is also playable through the GeForce NOW cloud gaming service, with Ultimate members able to jump into the relevant experience there.
Now for the numbers that'll make your GPU sweat. According to Nvidia's internal testing, running Hogwarts Legacy on an RTX 5090 with DLSS 5, DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction, 6x Multi Frame Generation and NVIDIA Reflex enabled hits frame rates of up to 300 FPS at 4K resolution with ray tracing turned on. That's a seriously wild figure for a game that's famously demanding on hardware.
Of course, that's Nvidia's own benchmark data, so take it as you will until independent tests roll in. Still, it's a promising sign for anyone rocking the latest flagship card and eyeing a maxed-out trip through Hogwarts.
Hogwarts Legacy is available across PC, PS5, PS4, Nintendo Switch 2, Switch, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One, so pretty much every platform is covered. The DLSS 5 update lands November 5.
Are you planning to fire up Hogwarts Legacy again once DLSS 5 drops, or are you more curious about how it performs on War Thunder and Where Winds Meet? Let us know in the comments!
