GTA 6 Won't Have Disney World or SeaWorld, Rockstar Hints

Rockstar suggests GTA 6's Florida-inspired map may skip iconic theme parks like Disney World and SeaWorld, but promises an authentic experience with a zoo and over 170 animals.
Did you really expect to ride Space Mountain in GTA 6? Well, don't get your hopes up. Rockstar has hinted that some of Florida's most famous attractions—like Disney World and SeaWorld—probably won't make it into the game.
In a recent Game Informer cover story, Rockstar's senior vice president of environment art, Paul MacPherson, was asked about integrating real-world spots like Disney World, SeaWorld, and Universal Studios into GTA 6's fictional state of Leonida. His answer? They've had to be selective. "We have to constantly evaluate the diversity of landscapes, towns, structures, landmarks, vistas, plant species, rock formations and everything else before we work with design and narrative to distill a list down that best works with and serves the game's needs," MacPherson explained. "So, while we may not have those exact locations, everything we have is geared to getting that full Florida experience!"
So no, you probably won't be snapping selfies in front of Cinderella's Castle. But that doesn't mean GTA 6 will be lacking in things to do. The game will feature a zoo, and animals play a big role—over 170 different species will roam the world, including rare and legendary breeds you can study. That's a lot of critters to track down.
Rockstar didn't completely rule out any specific location, but the comment makes it clear: don't expect a one-to-one recreation of Florida's biggest tourist traps. And honestly, that might be for the best. Remember the rollercoaster and Ferris wheel on GTA 5's Venice Beach Boardwalk? Fun for a minute, but you probably never went back. Building an entire theme park around that kind of novelty might not be the best use of development resources.
Instead, Rockstar is focusing on capturing the true Florida vibe. The studio spent extensive time in the state, researching by living it directly—even hitting up strip clubs and night clubs. That's dedication to authenticity, folks. So while you might not ride a teacup, you'll still get a world that feels unmistakably Floridian.
With over 170 animals to discover and unique locations to explore, GTA 6 seems to be trading theme park rides for a more immersive, living world. It's a trade-off that could pay off big time.
What do you think? Are you bummed about missing out on Disney World, or are you more excited to hunt down legendary animals? Let us know in the comments!
