GTA 6 OLED vs LED Comparison Sparks Debate: Is It Worth the Upgrade?

A new GameVerse video compares GTA 6 running on OLED and standard LED screens, showing deeper blacks and richer colors on OLED — but players are split on whether the upgrade is worth it.
Ever wondered if your screen is doing GTA 6 justice? A fresh comparison video from GameVerse is putting OLED and standard LED displays head-to-head, and the results have players debating whether the upgrade is really worth the cash.
The video highlights the most obvious differences between the two panel types: contrast, color accuracy, and especially how each handles black. Even though GTA 6 already looks stunning on its own, GameVerse says OLED takes the visuals up another notch.
The demo was shown using an iPad, but GameVerse notes you'd see similar differences on other devices like TVs. On OLED, blacks look deeper and darker areas get close to true black. On LED, those same shadows tend to look gray, with brighter dark scenes that give the whole image a washed-out feel.
The contrast gap shows up everywhere. Neon lights and sunset lighting effects pop way more on OLED, delivering a stronger visual punch. Colors are richer too — skies, vegetation, and character outfits all look more vivid, while LED comes across as flatter and less vibrant.
Naturally, the comparison got people talking. Plenty of players agree that OLED wins on blacks, contrast, and color. But others pointed out that the LED screen in the video might not have been calibrated properly, so monitor settings could be skewing the results.
Some also brought up OLED's downsides, like the risk of burn-in from static images over long sessions and the higher price tag. So is the upgrade a no-brainer or a nice-to-have? That's for you to decide.
What do you think — is OLED worth switching for, or is a good LED panel plenty for GTA 6? Let us know in the comments.
