God of War Laufey Pre-Orders Start Tomorrow: All the Details

Pre-orders for God of War Laufey go live tomorrow at 10am local time. Standard and Digital Deluxe editions include Dark Alchemy bonuses, and physical discs are confirmed.

Ready to dive back into the Norse realm? God of War Laufey pre-orders go live tomorrow, September 29, at 10am local time. That's right—you can finally secure your copy of Faye's journey through The Everywhen. Sony dropped the announcement today, and while pricing wasn't detailed, we're expecting the standard edition to land around $69.99 and the digital deluxe at $89.99. We'll know for sure tomorrow.

Here's the best part: the game will be available in both digital and physical formats. That means actual discs, unlike some other big releases we've seen lately. If you're a collector or just love having a physical copy on your shelf, you're in luck. God of War Laufey is scheduled to launch on February 16, 2027, exclusively on PS5.

Now, let's talk editions. The Standard Edition comes with some nice pre-order bonuses: the Last Wish Armor Set, a Phranque Golden Leaves appearance (cosmetic), and an in-game resource pack. That's a solid head start for your journey. If you want to go all out, the Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Dark Alchemy Armor Set, Dark Alchemy Blade, Dark Alchemy Bow Scales, Dark Alchemy Catalyst, an in-game resource pack, a digital mini artbook, and the official digital soundtrack. No collector's box has been announced yet, but we'll keep our fingers crossed.

Where should you pre-order? In the US, Amazon is a safe bet for the Standard Edition, often with exclusive bonuses and release-day delivery for Prime members. Best Buy might offer a steelbook add-on—they've done that for recent Standard Edition titles. Walmart is another option, though it may not have the same perks. For the Digital Deluxe Edition, head to the PlayStation Store. In the UK, Amazon is great for speedy shipping, Currys sometimes throws in exclusive benefits, and Smyths Toys often has in-person collection and fast pre-order drops.

There's no playable demo yet, but PlayStation did run a gameplay demonstration during June's State of Play event. So if you missed it, you might want to check that out to see Faye in action. With pre-orders going live tomorrow, you'll want to set an alarm. These special editions could sell out fast, especially with those Dark Alchemy bonuses.

So, will you be pre-ordering God of War Laufey tomorrow? What edition are you eyeing? Let us know in the comments!
