God of War: Laufey Pre-Orders Live, Physical Disc Confirmed

Sony and Santa Monica Studio have opened pre-orders for God of War: Laufey, with the standard edition priced at HK$388 and a physical disc release officially confirmed.

Great news, God of War fans — you can finally lock in your copy of God of War: Laufey. Sony Interactive Entertainment and Santa Monica Studio have officially opened pre-orders and revealed the pricing and edition details for the upcoming game.

Here's the breakdown from the official info: the Standard Edition is priced at HK$388 on the Hong Kong store, while the Digital Deluxe Edition comes in at HK$438. That gives you a couple of options depending on how much extra you want to throw in for the fancier version.

But the headline here might be something a lot of you have been asking about. Santa Monica Studio confirmed directly on its official social accounts that God of War: Laufey will get a physical disc release. That's right — you'll be able to actually hold this one in your hands.

That confirmation directly answers the questions fans had been raising about whether the game would keep a physical version at all. It's a notable move given that Sony has been steadily shifting toward digital distribution, so seeing a new God of War title still offer a disc for collectors is a welcome bit of news.

So whether you're the type to display a box on your shelf or you just like knowing you truly own your copy, it looks like you're covered this time around. Pre-orders are already live, so you can go ahead and secure your preferred edition right now.

We'll keep an eye out for more details as release approaches. For now, the big takeaways are simple: pre-orders are open, the standard version sits at HK$388, and a physical disc is officially happening.
