Gears of War Pizza Cutter Costs $60, Looks Like a Pain to Clean

Xbox and Prince St. Pizza have teamed up for a Gears of War: E-Day promotion, featuring a $60 Prototype Lancer pizza cutter and a $46 Emergence Pie.
Ever wanted to slice your pizza with a weapon that looks like it could chainsaw a Locust? Well, Xbox and Prince St. Pizza have got you covered with a $60 Gears of War pizza cutter that looks awesome but might be a nightmare to clean.
The collaboration is to promote this October's Gears of War: E-Day. The star of the show is the Prototype Lancer pizza cutter, a hefty metal tool with a stainless steel blade and a handle designed to make you feel like you're wielding the iconic gun. It also comes with an in-game pizza emblem. But why "Prototype" Lancer? In Gears lore, the Lancer was created a year after Emergence Day, so the devs had to come up with a clever explanation for its presence in the prequel. Hence, Prototype Lancer. Nice save, right?
If you're hungry, there's also the Emergence Pie, a pizza themed around E-Day. It's loaded with spicy vodka red sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, sausage, and a drizzle of spicy Italian chili crisp. Microsoft's blog describes it as "rugged, relentless, and built to hit hard." But your wallet might feel the hit too: the pie costs $46 before taxes and delivery. It's available now through November 1 at Prince St. Pizza locations in the US and Canada. With only about 20 locations worldwide, you might have to hunt one down in cities like Chicago, LA, Dallas, Las Vegas, Miami, Nashville, New York City, or Toronto. Buying the pie gets you a code for an in-game pizza emblem in E-Day.
Gears of War: E-Day launches on October 6 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and it'll be available at launch via Xbox Game Pass. If you want to play five days early, you can shell out for the $100 premium edition. Despite rumors, Microsoft has denied canceling a PS5 version last-minute, though they didn't deny that a PS5 version exists. Aaron Greenberg has said E-Day is not a timed exclusive, but given that Starfield was also called not a timed exclusive and later came to PS5, who knows what the future holds?
So, are you grabbing that $60 pizza cutter or sticking with your trusty wheel? Let us know in the comments!
