Dispatch Gets Physical Edition with Vinyl Soundtrack

AdHoc Studio announces physical editions for Dispatch on PS5, Xbox, and Switch, plus a vinyl soundtrack release, just before its first anniversary.

Remember Dispatch, that superhero workplace comedy-drama that stole hearts last year? Well, if you've been waiting to add it to your physical collection, your patience is about to pay off. AdHoc Studio just dropped news that the game is finally getting a physical release for PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and Switch, and it's packed with goodies.

Partnering with PM Studios, they're offering two flavors: a Standard Deluxe Edition for $50 and a Steelbook Deluxe Edition for $60. Both come with the full game on disc or cartridge, all DLC, a digital artbook with over 100 pages of concept art, four digital comics, a 16-page printed booklet called 'SDN's Guide to Dispatching,' a double-sided Mecha Man poster, and a download code for the soundtrack. The Steelbook edition adds a slick steelbook case with art created in-house at AdHoc Studio, though it might ship a bit later due to manufacturing.

Switch owners, take note: this is the Switch 1 version, but it includes the Switch 2 Edition upgrade pack. There's also some censorship to meet Nintendo's standards, but the studio managed to sneak in some hilarious fixes to keep things fun.

But that's not all. The complete soundtrack is getting a physical vinyl release via Lost in Cult Records. Composed by Andrew Arcadi and Skyler Barto, the score includes licensed tracks and comes in two editions. The Prime Edition features all three records on classic black vinyl, while the Astral Edition offers each record in a color inspired by a key SDN employee: Mecha Man blue, Invisigal translucent purple, and Blonde Blazer's red-and-yellow. The first 500 Astral sets even come with a signed certificate of authenticity from Arcadi.

If you're feeling extra dedicated, you can bundle the Standard Deluxe Edition with a vinyl of your choice and save 10% off the pair. That's a sweet deal for collectors.

Dispatch was one of last year's standout games, even if awards season snubbed it. It follows Robert Robertson III, formerly the superhero Mecha Man, who becomes a dispatcher at the Superhero Dispatch Network after his mech suit is destroyed. He now oversees a team of reformed supervillains in a narrative-heavy adventure that balances humor and heart. It was a critical and commercial hit, and a sequel might already be in development.
