Deck of Haunts Hits Consoles October 8

Roguelike deckbuilder Deck of Haunts launches October 8 for PS5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Xbox One, and Switch. Here's what you need to know before you shuffle up.

Ready to build a deck that bites back? Deck of Haunts officially lands on consoles October 8, and it's bringing its roguelike deckbuilding scares to a whole lot of platforms.

According to the source, the game will launch for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Switch 2, Xbox One, and Switch. That's a wide spread, so whether you're on the newest hardware or still rocking last-gen, you should be able to jump in.

If you haven't been following Deck of Haunts, the genre tag tells you a lot. Roguelike deckbuilders mix run-based progression with card-driven combat, so every attempt plays out a little differently. You build, you adapt, and you probably lose a few times before things click. The "haunts" angle suggests a spooky flavor on top of that loop, though the source doesn't detail specific mechanics or modes.

What we do know is the release date: October 8. That's the anchor here. No word yet on pricing, preorder bonuses, or platform-specific features, so keep expectations grounded until the developers share more.

The platform lineup is worth noting. Switch 2 is on the list alongside the original Switch, which means the game is targeting both Nintendo generations. Xbox One is also included, so this isn't a current-gen-only release. That's good news if you haven't upgraded yet.

For roguelike deckbuilder fans, October 8 is one to circle. These games live and die by their card variety and run-to-run replayability, and we'll know more about how Deck of Haunts handles that as launch gets closer.
