Crimson Desert Patch 2.02.00 Fixes DLSS Crash and More

Pearl Abyss rolls out a hefty Crimson Desert update packed with bug fixes, cross-save support, and stability improvements across PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.

Crimson Desert is still getting love, and this latest patch is a big one. Pearl Abyss has pushed out version 2.02.00, and it's absolutely stuffed with fixes that should make your adventures across Pywel a whole lot smoother.

If you've been running into crashes, this one's for you. The update squashes a nasty bug where starting a new game with DLSS Frame Generation enabled would straight-up crash the game. That's a huge relief for anyone rocking an RTX card who just wants to jump in without fiddling with settings first.

There's also a new quality-of-life feature: cross-save is now supported on Mac. So if you're bouncing between platforms, your progress can follow you around.

Quest bugs got some serious attention too. The team fixed an issue where the letter in the "Erostein's Message" quest could vanish under certain conditions, leaving you stuck with no way to continue. Also patched up is a problem where you couldn't liberate Thorn Castle, which sounds like it was a real headache for anyone trying to push through that content.

Inventory and camp issues haven't been ignored either. If your bag was full when you planted a flag at Wolf Hill Camp, your homestead wouldn't activate, but that's been resolved. And if you were losing trade goods from your storage box when loading certain save files, that nightmare is over.

Combat fans will appreciate a fix for a combo issue where using "Force: Leap" wouldn't properly chain into "Force Enhancement: Descent" in some situations. Small thing, but it matters when you're in the middle of a fight.

On the visual side, the team addressed armor looking noisy in indoor environments, and fixed an issue where wearing the Crow Cloth Blindfold made Cliff's appearance look off with certain settings applied. UI text jittering has also been sorted out.

Localization got a pass too, with multiple errors fixed across all languages and overall quality improved. Arabic text display issues were also resolved.

One more niche fix: holding a lantern near NPCs should now properly show their held items. It's a little detail, but those little details add up.
