Castlevania: Belmont's Curse Hits 60fps on Switch 2, No Native Version Needed?

The Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo runs at 60fps on Switch 2 despite no native version. Fans rejoice, but resolution takes a hit.
Did you hear the good news? Castlevania: Belmont's Curse might not have a native Switch 2 version, but it turns out the game runs at a silky 60fps on the console anyway.
For months, fans have been begging Konami for a proper Switch 2 release. The alternative was a 30fps version on the original Switch or playing on a TV. But as spotted by Nintendo Everything, the demo that dropped on Switch earlier today actually hits 60fps when played on Nintendo Switch 2. Konami never mentioned this before, so it's a pleasant surprise.
Of course, there's a catch. Without a native version, the resolution reportedly isn't as sharp as you'd want. But for an action-packed Metroidvania like Castlevania, 60fps is always a win. It makes dodging, attacking, and platforming feel way smoother.
This isn't the first time Konami has quietly improved Switch 2 performance. They previously updated the Metal Gear Solid Master Collection Vol 1 on Switch, letting Metal Gear Solid 2 and 3 run better on Switch 2. So maybe something similar could happen for Castlevania down the line.
But will Konami go the extra mile and give us a native version? Sega did that with Shinobi: Art of Vengeance a year after launch, so it's not unheard of. For now, though, the 60fps boost is a solid consolation prize.
In other Castlevania news, the most underrated games in the series could be making a comeback. A recent Konami teaser has fans hoping for a 3D collection. Fingers crossed!
So, what do you think? Are you satisfied with 60fps on Switch 2, or do you still want that native version? Let us know in the comments!
