6 More MTG Universes Beyond Crossovers We're Dying to See

From Narnia to The Elder Scrolls, here are six dream crossovers for Magic: The Gathering's Universes Beyond that we hope become reality.

Ever cracked open a booster pack and wished you could summon Aslan or shout Fus Ro Dah at your opponent? With Universes Beyond already bringing us Warhammer and Doctor Who, the possibilities are endless. We've got six more fantasy and sci-fi worlds that would make perfect Magic sets.

First up, Narnia. Imagine casting a spell to summon the White Witch, or playing a legendary creature card for Aslan himself. The world's rich lore, from the Stone Table to the battle of Cair Paravel, is begging for a card treatment. Plus, who wouldn't want a Narnia-themed board wipe called 'The Great Winter'?

Next, Brandon Sanderson's Cosmere. This sprawling universe includes Mistborn and Stormlight Archive, with their unique magic systems. Allomancy could be a cool mechanic, letting you 'burn' metals for effects. And can you picture a Planeswalker-style card for Kaladin or Vin? The potential is huge.

Then there's The Elder Scrolls. Skyrim, Morrowind, and Oblivion are packed with iconic creatures and spells. Imagine a Dragon Shout mechanic that lets you tap lands to deal damage, or a card for Alduin the World-Eater. The lore is deep enough to support a full set, and the fanbase is massive.

We'd also love to see Discworld, Terry Pratchett's hilarious fantasy satire. The Luggage could be an artifact that follows you around, and Death as a planeswalker? Yes, please. The humor would add a fresh tone to MTG.

Another dream is The Witcher. Geralt, Ciri, and the monsters of the Continent would fit right in. You could have a 'Witcher's Mutations' mechanic or a 'Bestiary' that lets you hunt creatures for rewards. The dark, gritty atmosphere would contrast nicely with other sets.

Last but not least, Star Wars. While it's a sci-fi universe, the Force and lightsabers could easily translate into Magic terms. Jedi as planeswalkers, Sith as villains, and starships as artifacts. The possibilities are endless, and with Disney's involvement, it's not entirely impossible.
