007 First Light NG+ Explained: What Carries Over

New Game Plus in 007 First Light only lets you replay missions in your chosen outfit, not with any gear or abilities. Here's how it works and what else the free DLC adds.
So you've finished 007 First Light and you're itching for another round as Bond. The free DLC just dropped New Game Plus, but before you dive back in expecting to wreak havoc with all your endgame toys, you might want to manage your expectations.
Here's the deal: to play NG+, you simply reload any mission from the "Select Chapter" menu after completing the game. When the mission loads, you'll be wearing the 007 First Light Outfit you equipped from the "Customisation" option in the main menu, instead of the standard one. That's right—your outfit is the only thing that carries over. No gadgets, no weapons, no abilities. So don't expect to be doing the tutorial with the Missile Pen or driving the spy car before Q's finished building it.
Essentially, NG+ is just a way to replay missions in whatever clothing you want. There's currently no option to bring 007 First Light gadgets and weapons from other parts of the game into earlier missions. It's possible that the functionality will be expanded in the future, but for now, it's all about the wardrobe.
But wait, there's more! The update and DLC also adds a new higher difficulty setting called "00". So while you don't have a huge leeway to customize your second playthrough, you are being given a greater challenge if you want it. Plus, there are expansions to the 007 First Light Tacsim and other features besides.
So if you were hoping for a full-powered second run, you might be a bit underwhelmed. But if you just want to replay your favorite missions in style, NG+ has you covered. And if you're craving more challenge, the new "00" difficulty is there for you.
What do you think? Will you be jumping back into 007 First Light for NG+, or are you holding out for more substantial additions? Let us know in the comments!
